Will your child be in year 3, 5, 7 or 9 in 2019? If yes then they will be sitting NAPLAN examination in May 2019 and Froggy Tuition Centre is here to help!
What exactly is NAPLAN? What does it test? Most importantly, how does NAPLAN affect your child?
NAPLAN stands for The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy, it is an annual assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. NAPLAN tests the sorts of skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life. The assessments are undertaken throughout Australia, every year, in the second full week in May.
NAPLAN is made up of tests in the four areas of:
-
Reading & Comprehension
-
Writing
-
Language Conventions (spelling, grammar and punctuation)
-
Numeracy
When you receive your child’s NAPLAN results you will see their school’s average results, as well as other schools in Australia and how your child compares.
So basically your child’s NAPLAN results will show whether they are either below, equal to or above the average level of other students nationwide. It also specifies the areas which they need to further develop.
As parents, we all want the best for our children. And every parent we have spoken to over the years desires that their child be above average. This is where Froggy Tuition Centre can help.
Here at Froggy we have had many years experience preparing students for their NAPLAN exams. We also have a son ourselves who sat the test not long ago and received the highest bands, or results for all subjects. We therefore have first-hand experience of the preparation required and the immense joy that is felt at receiving such fantastic results.
Our specialised NAPLAN program will help ease the pressure of NAPLAN and make it a natural process of schooling.
